Vista Beta 2 Cant download

I was using vista beta 2 fine this morning on my machine, downloading files as usual, but then somehow now whenever I download a file, it will download it, the bar goes to 100% complete but then just closes (I dont have the "close window when complete" button checked) and the file is nowhere to be found on my harddrive. Anyone else have this problem?
 
There is a way to identify where you want the download to go, when you first start it.

I had the same issue, it burries it somewhere and it is a bear to find where it went.

I'll double check what the 'Browse' or download to target is when I get back to may Vista machine, but under your name file you can select 'Desktop'
however it doesn't remember, so you have to make the choice with each download.

 
No its not that, I specifically checked to see where the files go to, and they dont appear where they should be. Also, I searched for the file by name, and it turns up nothing.
It seems like the files are being downloaded to a temperary spot but then not being written to disk.
