Vista Back Up

Hi,

I was wondering if there was any way to make a back up copy of Windows Vista if you have the original disc. I have heard some stories with people making a copy, but it wasn't bootable. Has anyone sucessfully made a bootable back up?

I've ripped it as an .iso and burned it, worked fine.
