This was posted in Software, but then I figured it may be better suited here because of it being a Vista issue, if i'm wrong, go ahead and delete.

When trying to connect to Battle.net, it will not do the autoupdate. When I download the patch manually online, it says unable to create file BNUpdate.exe Access is denied.

Does anyone know a way to get this to work?
 
sounds like permission issues.

run with full permissions and see if the same thing happens, if so, then, ouch.
