Vista and Sata drive

Im running Vista 64 on an IDE Drive and Have a Sata drive for file storage. The problem is that in Device manager i see my Sata HD but when i go to My computer it's NOT There. I have install my Motherboard driver pack for vista what am i missing? Thanks

Make sure the SATA drive is formatted.

Windows key + R (run) -> diskmgmt.msc

can't Drive have all my data on it. Work fine in XP then swap to vista

Go into Disk Management and make sure it has a drive letter assigned to it.

Don't know what did it but updated vista and reboot and drive pop up. Thx everyone
