vista and partitioning

I didn't have the foresight to create a separate partition when I installed XP and now I want to dual boot, is there a way I can make a partition for it now? without reformatting cause I'm about 250gb in use but ive still got like 500 to spare.

anyone else want to help, I downloaded gparted livecd booted from it and it repeated killed initialization and said kernel panic, I tried adding my raid device from the boot screen but no dice... i duno..

any other options?
 
partitionmagic 8.0 did the charm, but alas.. vista only reads amd 64 drivers from my RAID driver floppy.. i give up who knows...
