Vista and Azureus

Check your port settings as well as the Firewall.

uTorrent is running fine on my copy of Vista Ultimate.

I installed the latest version of Azureus on Vista, and initially it wouldn't start the program...gave me errors. However, I tried again later that evening, and it worked fine, and has since. Not sure what caused the change.

hmm where do I go to change the port settings in windows firewall? I'm trying to use ABC and I Just disabled firewall but it doesnt seem to be working properly yet.... the torrents are in gold instead of green

whoops might have just figured it out... i forgot I changed the ports in my router... so I had to change the ports in abc to match the ones i set in my router

azureus worked just fine for me..

basically, disable windows firewall (if you already have a router), install the latest JRE from Sun (JRE 1.6), then make sure you have a copy of msvcr71.dll in your system32 folder and you should be good to go..

Isn't 2.5.0.4 like...over a year old? I'm pretty sure that was the version I used before switching to uTorrent. Maybe I'm thinking of 2.2.0.4?
