Vista administrator permissions is crashing software

Im running vista 64. Im the only one who uses my PC so I have full admin privileges.

In order for me to license some plugins for After Effects CS3, I need to run AE CS3 as administrator for the key to stick. Otherwise these plugins wont remember they were registered.

After Effects locks up when I choose run as administrator and gives me a pure vital function call error.

AE runs fine when not in admin mode. But my (legally bought) plugins are watermarked.

I think i screwed something up with permissions ...

Does anyone have a work-around to this issue?

have you tried enabling the administrator account and logging in as administrator. UAC does not apply to the built in administrator account.

You might want to give Adobe's customer support a try. They must've dealt with this by now.
