My OC on Vista 64bit passed LinX 20 passes and Prime95 8 hours overnight multiple times. I installed Win7 last night and now I'm getting hard freezes randomly, when I tried to run LinX this morning it hard froze to a plain sky blue colored screen.
Some facts about the situation:
1. I did load defaults in my BIOS before I formatted and installed Win7, I know you aren't supposed to install an OS on a overclocked system.
2. I attended a Microsoft new efficiency event, they gave us each a Win 7 Ultimate retail edition key that works for 32 & 64bit, but they only gave everyone 32 bit disks. I had to download a 64bit Win 7 Ultimate ISO and burn it to a DVD, I used the slowest write speed (x4) to burn the disk. Not sure if this would have anything to do with it, since the OS installed flawlessly.
Any ideas?
