Vista 64 vs SAMSUNG 470 MZ-5PA128B/AM

My build is 3 years old, SATA 2, works fine. Picked up SSD 470 128GB for $150 at Newegg. I would like to experiment with and learn hands-on about SSD's; in the process it might speed up my build. I do not want to spend $140 on Win 7 Pro at this time. Thanks for advice.

Sata 2? wow

you need to upgrade to sata 3 to experiance the true speed of an SSD

Considering that the Samsung 470 is a SATA 3.0 Gb/s drive, I'm gonna say no he doesn't.

OP, Vista is OK with an SSD but not as good as 7 because it doesn't understand how to set up the proper partition alignment.
