Just finished a new build and Vista 64 is only showing 4GB of RAM when I have 6GB (3x2)installed. I double checked the seeding and they are all secured correctly. Do I have a bad RAM module or is there something I am missing.

Help me out please.

Bad RAM module or bad RAM slots. It's going to be a process of elimination. Thankfully its not difficult because the correct combination will simply not POST, while the others will.

This might not be of any relevance nowadays but back in the day when vista64 first came out wasn't there a problem with installing the OS to a system that already had >4GB of ram? And the solution was to pull the ram prior to install so you only had 4GB or less in the rig during install and then after the install you put all your ram back in the rig and only then would it recognize it?

The OP's issue might not be related to this at all, but it sounded eerily familiar so I thought I'd mention it in case a few google searches gets him closer to a solution.

Does "double checked" mean pulling each module out and reinstalling them?

Tested individually and one RAM module seems bad. Won't post in single mode and won't show up when added to others. Thanks for the suggestions, very appreciated.
