I installed Vista 64 bit for the first time and have been getting a lot of BSODs. It always happens when I am running Windows Update and it is always something to do with netio.sys. Also I dont see SP1 in my list of updates and when I downloaded the standalone setup file, it tried and then errored out saying could not install. I thought my overclocking was the issue, so I set all my speeds to default but its still happening. I am thinking of formatting and reinstalling again. Or should I install another version since it could be some hardware incompatibility?

You have to get all of the prereqs before you can see SP1 in Windows Update. Trying to run the standalone file without the prereqs installed won't work. That might be the cause of the BSOD.

Setting your bios to fail safe defaults is usually the first thing you should do if you're getting BSOD.
