Finding cards to actually support Vista 64-bit can be a PITA.

I currently use Vista 64-bit with a Linksys WMP54GS ver 1.1. I think it's only a plain Wireless G card and probably not made any more.

cool.. did you have to do any tricks to get it to work, or just download the drivers and no problems?

I think Vista found it by itself and then I used the updated drivers from windows update.

I would do a search on google for devices suported. You could also look at newegg.com and see if people are posting vista 64-bit support for different cards.

I am quite surprised by the lack of information about the 64 bit drivers.

it's funny, because vista automatically downloads drivers for the card I have installed now, and it shows wireless networks available with strong signal strength, but I can only get a 'local only' connection (ie, no internet). this is apparently a common problem with a non-obvious solution. Guess I just have to try a different card

Your best bet would be to google the card you want and find the chipset it uses and and then download the drivers from the manufacturers website. I have done that for a number of the linksys cards and all have worked fine.
