I just sent in my 780i EVGA motherboard for a 790i stepup. When I get it back I wanted to try Vista 64. I've read the Pros and Cons so no need to comment here. I have more than one
computer.

I have XP Pro on that computer now and just want to do the upgrade. I really just want the Home Premium but I can't tell if you get a 64 bit version when you order it or if you have to get MS to send you the 64 bit version after you get the 32 bit version.

Anyway I'm trying to figure out which version I need to order to get a 64 bit version in the box.
Anyone know which versions come with 64 bit?
Thanks

Thanks,
I found the answer. If you want to get the 64 bit version in the box, you have to get the Ultimate edition.

Since you mentioned that you had XP and wanted to upgrade: Please be advised that Vista 64 requires a clean install. The kernel is completely different, and therefore an "upgrade" is not possible.

Thanks again,
I just ordered a Retail Vista Ultimate so this should cover everything. I didn't want OEM because I change compluters and parts too ofter.
