Vista 64 and 4 gigs of ram

So I have windows vista ultimate and 4 gigs of ram.

I noticed today when using a program "quikpar" which is pretty heavy on ram I think.

Anyway my ram usage went exactly to 50% as I was repairing a file using it.

Never went above 50% - so is there something I need to do to get vista to use more ram or is this normal?

And yes vista sees all 4 gigs of ram.

Try loading several programs that use lots of memory.
Photoshop with lots of large images.
Multiple browser windows.
Office applications.

4GB is a large amount of memory.
Quickpar alone is not going to tax it.
