Just a quick question about Vista.

I recently purchased a Home Premium for a new system. When I click system properties it shows as Vista Home Premium 32bit.

I was under the impression that vista home premium was 64bit. Whats the main difference between 32 bit and 64bit?

You can buy either the 32-bit or 64-bit version. There is no version that is specifically 64-bit, as far as I know.

I think Ultimate is the only 64bit you can buy. The others are all 32bit, then you have to send Microsoft $9.99 for the 64bit disc.

From what I've read, I think you can install 32bit then later do a fresh install of 64bit with the same key, but you can't do the reverse. Once you "upgrade" to 64bit you can't go back to 32bit.
