Hey everyone,
I'm the lucky owner of a Dell 2407WFP monitor with built-in memory card reader. I am using Vista 32-bit(ultimate).
When I plug in a 1GB SD card into it, it initally reads it just fine. However, when pulling up a folder with a lot of pictures within it, explorer grinds to a halt as it has difficulty reading from the disk. Some of the images thumbnail, some do not. Originally, I thought the reader or the card was bad, until I tried to set the 'readonly' tab on the SD card to readonly. This remedied the problem completely. With the card on readonly mode, it works perfectly(other than that it cannot write 😀).
I then tried my roomate's 256mb sd card. It works just fine, irregardless of it being in read-only or read-write mode. My 2gb sandisk titanium works fine as well.
Apparently I'm not the only one having issues:

I have no idea what to do to fix this....does anyone have any ideas?
