so i just installed Windows Vista 32 for the first time a few days ago. it took me a while to get it to reconize all of my harddrives dvdrom drive. after that i started installing drivers. now half way thru installing my nforce4 drivers i canceled as i didn't want the raid/sata ones i wanted to stay with the windows sata ones. the next day i go to turn on my pc and i get this really weird looking screen at the start ive never seen b4. http://i20.photobucket.com/alb...HIROELITE/DSC00028.jpg

then after that this screen appers.

so im guessing it has to be that. but...

i have tryed taking my vista harddrive out and putting my xp one back in. i get a little further the windows load screen comes up but then i get blue screen of death every time.

ive tryed setting dvdrom drive to first boot. it asks to boot from cd then i get a blank screen and my computer is restarted. i tryed switching my 8800gt for my 6600gt same thing. i thought because of the weird starting screen it could have been that.

it wont even let me reinstall windows, i mean id be happy to do that. it wont let me do any thing 🙁
ive tryed resetting bios incase that might fix it but nothing either.

sorry about spelling im using family pc without spell checker.

Check your MB battery & make sure that it is good & installed making good contact. Reset the BIOS to default values & try to bring the system up. If it still is a problem then you may have a MB hardware issue (eg, chip that's intermittent). I would start working in WINXP CDROM boot up & repair console mode to verify that the screen text/graphics holds up. Press on the MB, wiggle the graphics card & reseat & flex the HDD cables. Anything is possible. You could even have a bad MB controller chip. Swap the HDD to the secondary IDE channel & retry.
