I am looking at Home Premium. The few extra features in Ultimate I don't think I would use.

Now what version do I want?

I'm happy with Vista x64,if you have the drivers for your hardware then its worth going 64 bit IMHO.

Presuming that drivers are available... If your motherboard can support more than 2gig of memory and you have 2gig or more (or will very soon) go V64. If your motherboard can only support upto 2gig or you have 512meg or 1g on there now (and no plans to upgrade) go V32.

I have 64-bit and really like it. Didn't have any problems with driver support or anything, though obviously your experience may vary. As for software, there are a few things that didn't work, but not many. Most major programs are starting to support 64-bit OS's.
