Not want to thread crap, but when 9800 is about the same price there is no reason to go 9600.

The difference between the two is dramatic, to say the least.

I would rather go with a 9800, I compared it to Newegg pricing and it was cheaper so I am passing it along.

I guess it is a good deal since it is 256MB ?

I would definitely pick up the 9800pro online; but my friend's dad won't buy things online because he is afraid his credit card number will be stolen, so I guess he could jump on this deal.

If his credit card has an online shopping security it shouldn't matter. I only shop online, because this is usually were the best deals are and i don;t have to put up with commission hunting salesmen. Plus I haven't had any problems with shopping online yet, and i have been doing this for five years.

There is no difference between Internet fraud and this purchase. They'll both be ripping off your friend's dad.

More people steal card numbers while you are out shopping in regular places such as Retail Stores and Restaraunts compared to the internet. They busted a whole restaraunt full of workers down here that was taking customers card #'s while they went to charge for their food bills. There was like 5 or 6 workers.

You can get a 9800 pro for 200$ thats only 10$ more for a FAR superior card. Also, if you are too dumb to buy things online, you deserve to pay higher prices.
