I'm visiting MB in a few weeks with the gf and was wondering if y'all have any places I should visit.

Already decided on going on the ferris wheel. Heard not to visit the pier at night because it's sus. Oh yeah, the beach.

Anything else?

You do realize that the area just got hit by a hurricane, right? I'd wait until next year to visit, unless you're a "disaster tourist".

Lol avoid the area, you'll either get sick from the coal ash or the pig shit.

On the other hand, any restaurants/ bars that are operational will need paying customers, especially since many will be avoiding the area.

On the other hand, they may jack their prices up tremendously to make up for the lack of volume since many will be avoiding the area.

What is your budget for things, and are you staying on the water or more inland? Also, when exactly are you going. I can find out what has opened and what is still closed.

I work for a company that does resort stays up there, and from what I know we are still currently closed, but, they can tell me what is open.

We're staying essentially beach front and going between Friday the 28th till Sunday the 30th. I'm hoping everything is open by then and the damage isn't that bad.

Budget is honestly anything under 20 bucks, but it all depends on what's down there. Also it can't be too far of a drive.

I know there's a few malls down there that are pretty big and a museum and stuff.

It's mostly tourist trap hell. 100 mini golf courses, corner after corner of seafood buffets, beach gear shops and restaurants.

We go there because the beach itself is decent, water is warm, not too rough waves, and have decent options for resorts for people traveling with kids.

Wife and I went a couple years ago. It's gone downhill. Avoid the south side; there's nothing there. Stay north. Frankly, we'd never go again, but yeah, the beach is nice. My oldest son lives in Pensacola and the beach is great. It's also not tourist hell.

So I'm being told that the attractions and resorts my company works with are not open yet. Still trying to get an ETA.

Copy that.

That's fine, we aren't going for another week so I presume most things will be open by then.
