visiting melbourne next year...what to do/see?

Going to Melbourne for 5 days next January as my fiancee has a conference there. Any tips for what to do/see? She'll have a few days off as well, so a day/weekend trip is a possibility.

ok, so we've decided to do great ocean road with an overnight stop somewhere along the way/way back.


any specific recommendations for what to stop & see on the way? favorite spots?
