Yeah, so I'm gonna be visiting Manhattan in a couple of weeks for about 4.5 days. What are your thoughts on some must-do items?

Manhattan.

Intrepid
Empire State
Chrysler Building
Wall Street
Broadway
Times Square
WTC site.
Brooklyn Bridge.
Ellis Island.
Monk's Diner (Seinfeld diner -- IIRC, it's real, but I might be confused)

and get some good Pizza from a nice seedy place.

Edit: Central Park, Grand Central Station, Museum of Natural History, Museum of Modern Art.

ManhattAn.... sigh...

Broadway, Central Park, Museums galore...it's not difficult to think of things to do in NYC. Even just walking around aimlessly is fun sometimes....especially along the shiny, bright parts.

Times Square (no trip to NY is complete without a trip to this place)
Take a ferry and enjoy the statue of liberty.
Ground Zero
Seaport
Chinatown (also called Canal St.)
Central Park (zoo is pretty fun for an afternoon)
5th Ave for some shopping, also on Friiday mornings around 1130-12 they have a performance by the Apple Store on 5th ave near the entrance to the Central Park Zoo.
if you like Pizza, you HAVE to go to Lombardi's on Spring/Mott Street. BEST PIZZA EVER!
arthur ave for italian food
Soho
coney island. get a nathans hotdog there

US Open is in Queens, right? By Shea Stadium (where the Mets play)?

Go check out Flushing...which is kinda right down the street. It's just like Chinatown..but IMO, much much cleaner and the people are just a TAD bit nicer and not as crowded.

Flushing Mall has some nice places to eat in the food court. My FAVORITE place to eat in Flushing though is this place called "White Bear" off of Roosevelt St/Ave (i think that's the name). In chinese it's pronounced "Bai Shong". If you like dumplings or wantons..you need to stop there. It's a tiny little place but the food is DELICIOUS. yea..that'd be my suggestion. :)

Thanks; sounds like a good place to get lunch before/after tennis.
