Just got a visiontek ti200, and there is a big reg sticker on the box that reads like this : "now clocked at 250MHz". I read on various web sites that the ti200 cards where supposed to be clocked at 175MHz core... What up with that? The sticker was placed at the factory, not by the store. Will there be any visible speed gain?

thanks!:Q

Oups! Sorry for that, should have said it... It's the GeForce3 ti 200, not the GeForce2...

Hmm, at bestbuy here in SC only the Geforce2 Ti have that sticker on them. Where did you buy it?

Futureshop, in canada. It's the canadian bestbuy... I did not try it yet, since I'm still at work, but I will check it further when I get home tonight. The manager at the store told me that they recieved these cards this week, with this new sticker...

Ahh. Maybe the big sell last week was get rid of the old ones with the 175 speed. I would think the performance would be a bit better with 250 than a 175 one. :)

The nice thing is that I got away with the old price... I mean the same price as the one during the sale. Nice... Thanks for the information btw!

When you get home and check out card get powerstrip to see if your speed is really 250. I just checked visionteks website and it says Geforce3 Ti 200 is 175 clock speed. Hopefully they just haven't updated that yet.
