Visiontek GF3 Soundblaster Live Conflict resolved !!!

After 48 hours of tiring trouble shooting, I finally got my VT GF3
Ti200 working. The problem was it would lock up the computer, or have
no hardware acceleration when playing games or videos. This was under
win98, win2k, winxp, and a fresh install of winxp. The problem
resolved itself when I pulled the SBLive soundcard. I also reinstalled
the soundblaster into a different pci slot. Everything is fine now.

I post this to help out any others with a problem with their GF3.

I have this same problem and even tried installing WInXP without the SB LIVE or any other cards but the GF3 installed---same problem. It reboots anytime I used DirectX or a call is made to AGP

Sounds like an IRQ conflict.
