Visiontek GF3 is not working on my computer but works on Dell

All the sudden, on boot up, I get distorted colors and random patterns on the screen. I do see the bios screen
and the SCSI setup. I hear the hd boot up, so I thought immediately my GF3 had gone sour.
I switched out a TNT2U from a Dell sitting next to it and found out that the TNT card worked fine on my machine.
So, I was 95% convinced my GF3 card was toast 🙁.
Now, for giggles, I put in the GF3 in the Dell and boot up, and it works fine!
Well, I thought maybe it was a bad connection or possibily dust. I pulled out the cards, thoroughly cleaned with
compressed air and ensured that card fit properly in the AGP slot.
I boot up my box with the GF3 and still artifacts!
Grrr, I put the GF3 back into the Dell and still works fine!
So, now my Athlon 1.4 is running with a TNT2U and the Dell 866 is stylin with the GF3.

Sigh, any clues?
