Visiontek, Asus, MSI or?

MSI - Have purchased a 6600gt with them for an HTPC a year ago and got the rebate back. I got my 4850 through them for that very reason (well, and the fact that the Witcher was included w/ the card).

They are the only ATi cards with it as well. I've always been an ASUS fanboy, but I have to vote VisionTek for this.

Also, you can pick one up at Best Buy - with a 10% off coupon from the Post Office change of address pack 🙂

I notice that I send my Asus rebate to the same processing company that does the Corsair power supply rebates.

I've only heard good things from Corsair and rec'd my last rebate for my 620HX.

Upgrading the cooler void id? (I know that is a long shot)
The finer points of the VTek warranty aren't really clear.

From reading that - if it's obvious that you damaged the card while tampering with or modifying it (i.e. installing an aftermarket cooler), then they will not honor the warranty. It's unclear whether they will honor the warranty if you installed an aftermarket cooler correctly, but the card eventually has an unrelated defect.

And before anyone asks -- they most certainly will be able to tell if that stock cooler has been previously removed, unless you manage to find identical, fresh thermal pads for the VRM and memory, and thermal compound for the core.
