Visiontek 9250 vs. On Board Graphics

Well the Visiontek 9250 should be a lot better than any on board graphic you may have. I got the same one for PCI for my cheap intel celeron. All I can say is for what I paided for it, it is great. I think I got if for the same price as you at circuitcity.

With it I noticed that the desktop background looks a lot better. The divx movies I play on it look cleaner. Also, with it I'm about to play some games decently on it with some of the minor settings turned on. I use it to play Metal of Honor and Splinter Cell. It doesn't have all the eye candy on, but it plays great with very little lagg.

Any add-in video is better than any onboard cr@p. The only "good" onboard video out there would be in the nForce2. Even then, it pretty much sucks @ss, but its still better than any Intel "Extreme Graphics" 😛 😉.

Nonsense. They sell G4MX cards for $30+ that are 64bit, the nF2 IGP in dual channel is nearly twice as fast. Considering a nF2 IGP board can be had for $60 that is an awesome value.
