Visio Image to OLE

Does anyone know how to take a VSD file or a BLOB of that file and convert it to an OLE object to store in an Access database?

If no one has an answer:
Why not store the file / BLOB instead? When you want to launch Visio for it you can ShellExecute the file.

We do this already. However, we also use Crystal Reports and it can't pull in a blob and place it into the report. So we have a separate field that converts the blob to an OLE object and stores it in that field. The problem is that the OLE Object Manager we have is basically an ActiveX control that we've wrapped with VB6 by dropping it into a form. It's a left over legacy implementation and I'd like to get rid of it so that we can add the project to our automated build. As it stands now, we have to compile this anytime we update the VB code and then check out the assembly from our source control and copy over it with the newly compiled assembly. A less than optimal solution, to say the least.
