I was debating about asking on the CPUs section, but because I am interested in the motherboards, I am posting here
As far as I know, Vishera launches on socket AM3+, still with 900 series chipsets. Trinity launches on socket FM2, and the higher end of the socket FM2 boards will sport the new A85 chipset (Hudson D4) What caught my eye is that the A85 supports 8 SATA 3 ports. It also has USB 3.0, but the 8 SATA ports make it really appealing (I was looking at SATA 3 cards not too long ago)
I know FM2 is intended to stay when AM3+ is discontinued (FX steamroller) but I don't know if piledriver vishera will also be FM2 and not only AM3+.
Board makers: How about a FM2 board with the A85 chipset plus a marvell 88SE9230 for a total of 12 sata 3 ports goodness?
