So, I bought the free after rebate Samsung Galaxy 3 from T-Mobile right before Thanksgiving. I got an email saying that the rebate was going through, but they misspelled my first name. It's 'Andren' instead of Andrew. I looked on my copy of the rebate form and have no idea how they got the name wrong.

The rebate is in the form of a Visa check card. Do you think I'll have any issues with it? I'm thinking that it will for on-line ordering, but I'm thinking if I just use it for groceries/target, I should be fine. Dealing with T-Mobile seems like it will be a huge PITA.

Where is your guardian? Surely you can't survive life on your own; ask him/her

Just spell it the way they have it on the card when ordering online. If it doesn't go through, try using the correct spelling. If it still doesn't go through, just don't order online. You will still spend the whole balance eventually.

Just use it at the grocery store. AFAIK, everyone eats, and with the price of groceries, you can get rid of it in one shot. I've had stuff like that happen before, and never had an issue. Just make sure you have cash to cover the purchase so you don't look like an ass with a declined card. Again, that should never happen, but I'm always prepared for the worst. Outside of donating the money to an organization(I recommend the EFF), buying online is just asking for trouble. It adds complexity to the situation, and can be harder to resolve.
