VIS LCD?

I was looking through some specs on LCD monitors, and I saw one that was VIS. I've heard of TFT, but not VIS. What does it do? What are the pros / cons of VIS?

Uh, I thought VIS meant "visible image size" -- please post a link to the info you're referring to...
