My friend just came crying to me coz his kid was on his puter and now he says he needs to reformat and start from scratch...TONS of crap, infections, trojans etc.

So he was asking me if there was a good easy to use product that he can get and put into an old system for his kid.

anyideas?

FOUND my all-in-one product:

Trendmicro's PC-Cillin 2005.

Tried it out last night. Very nice...virus protection, url filter, spam control, spyware...less resource hog than others. Blocked out porn, etc...pretty cool.

Yup. The Norton Internet Security package was more complicated and less effective than the simple Norton Firewall.
Thats what I use.

Exactly, and plus it's such a resource hog. (From what I've heard.) Just set him up with AVG Anti-Vir, Kerio Free FW, and Spybot SD/AdAware/MS Anti-Spyware. (The last three, just run as necessary.)

And boom, he's set.

EDIT: Someone should QFT me.
