Another quick note.
Is it just me who cant understand how a htm file can be a virus? And java files?
Do you think its just some new net code that the virus scanners think is a virus?

What viruses are they?

There are several worms floating around right now that don't come in as files - they scan for open ports, then they attack that open port and let themselves on in...

Give us some more clues if you still need help.

There is an Anti-Virus program on my machine.
Ive just done a quick scan now, and there doesnt seem to be anything there at the moment.
I`ll post back if/when more appear.

Try Anti-Trojan 5.5 from here (14 day free full trial) ,it can will detect trojans and can also remove them.

Btw when you run Anti-trojan 5.5 and get port 5000 open, read this first .

Another thing you should temporary disable system restore as well and do a full scan,there may be some viruses in there.

Anyway, Anti-Trojan 5.5 says;
Everythings OK!

What do you guys think of the idea of shelling out for a proper Anti-Virus program?
Cos AVG, while good and free, isnt as good as others.
Norton or McAffee isnt much to shell out considering the extra security i`d get.
For example, from OC UK, i can get;
Symantec Norton Internet Security Suite for £26
http://www.symantec.com/sabu/nis/nis_pe/features.html
Is it worth getting? Is the Anti-Virus & Firewall as good as AVG and ZoneAlarm, or better? Will i have program problems with the firewall, or is it similar to ZoneAlarm, ie, has no program problems? And do they take up many resources?
Opinions.

Oh...and bty, thanks Mem for those links.

Ive uncovered a bigger problem with Opera 7.2 than the Virus one;
It locks up when opening the main Anandtech page!
Why is it doing that then, its one of my daily sites that i visit.

Tryed that.
The only "fix" ive found is using Opera 7.11 instead. Which isnt that bad, but it means that i can no longer use my mouse wheel button as "open in background" for links. I`d kinda gotten used to it. Where can i download plugins for Opera anyway?

According to the ppl on the Opera Forums, its a known problem that`ll be fixed in the next release.
Thanks for the link Mem. Again. lol.
