Virus or malware that puts '/' in search box etc

I have a virus or malware that puts forward slash - '/' in any search box, Excel cell, email I'm typing, browser - anyplace that data can be entered. I have scanned with AVG, Malwarebites, Malware Root Kit - all to no avail. I have cleared CMOS - both with jumper and removing battery. I have a SSD for OS - even reinstalled Win7 64 bit. Still had the issue. HAs anyone come across something like this and have any suggestion on how to get rid of it?

you sure it's software related and not hardware related? (dust/dirt/grime in your keyboard causing the / to be activated?)

I find it hard to believe you still have the issue after a fresh install of your OS, which prompts me to believe otherwise.

You have eliminated a virus or malware with the reinstall. Can you try another keyboard?

Sounds like a stuck key on the keyboard. Replace it and the problem will likely go away.

A different keyboard has fixed the issue.
