Virus makes printers go insane

Has anyone head of a virus, supposedly transmitted via e-mail, that causes all of the network printers connected to it to start printing nonstop gibberish? I've searched around for information on such a virus and have come up empty. I don't have additional details - this is happening at a friend's office - they have no real IT support other than me :-(

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks bunker. That sounds exactly like it. I'll run the Avert Stinger program tommorow and will know for sure.

Update: interestingly, the Stinger program crashed in the middle of scanning the first 2 machines I tried it on. Then I tried the Symantec tool for removing the virus, and that worked fine!
