I have this virus... it might not be one, but its this file called filecheck.exe, i can close it if i like hold down ctrl alt delete and try to end task it for 5 minutes, but i'd like to get rid of it, anyone have any idea what this thing is? lemme know. THANKS!

Filecheck.exe is exactly what it says a file checker. There are a lot of filechecker programs and a lot of people use them to check for missing files when copying cd"s. It may also be in whatever antivirus program you are using to keep track of changes in files. I'm almost positive it is not a virus. Did you schedule a file check?

i did a search for it and got nothing... i dont get it. it really is the only thing i could think that would not let me ctrl alt delete or run msconfig. its just that when i do close filecheck.exe.... everything works again.
