Hey Smilin, funny link 🙂 It takes all types, doesn't it?

At my shop, a lady picked up a Dell PD-805 (Dimension 5105) that I had *JUST* finished reloading the OS on yesterday. Today she calls me and tells me that after putting a picture of her daughter as wallpaper, that she has no start button or menu anymore. I asked her to press the windows key on her keyboard, she says nothing happens. I ask her to press ctrl-alt-del, and lo and behold, gobs of mysterious processes which are obvious virii and spyware. I ask : did you uninstall the Antivirus software I installed for you? She says, "Yes, I had a copy of Norton 2003 and Norton is the best, right?"

ARGH 🙂

People are their own worst enemies with computers. And the media be damned, it's usually the kids running crap p2p apps that cause the most problems.
