Virus affecting Firefox but not Chrome?

Hi everyone, I use Chrome for 95% of my browsing and it's working fine. The other 5% of the time I using Firefox for certain features it has. Well I hadn't used Firefox in while when I opened it today and found out that it had a redirect virus/browser hijacker on it, but Chrome is still working great.

Why would a virus attack just Firefox and not Chrome? And where should I begin the repair process for Firefox?

Thanks for any help. 🙂

It could be just an add-on installed in the browser that is doing this re-direction. I see if quite a bit. Check all the firefox add-ons as well as review every install product in Programs (found in Control Panel). Often times these programs come from downloading software that packages this crap with it.

Download and install Malwarebytes while running in Safe Mode and it should be able to detect and clean up the infection.
