I need to be able to run an image on a pc to which I do not have admin privs. Just installing virtualbox, virtualpc, or vmware player requires admin. Are there any ways around this? Is there a player that will permit this? I'd rather not have to reboot the system from a usb stick to install vmware player but that's my next step.

Maybe if it was already installed, I've never tried just running it as non-admin, but I doubt even that as virtualization needs the ability to fiddle with things that normal users shouldn't be touching.

I see there are some portable versions of Virtualbox, although I have no experience with them. Perhaps it might be something to look into if not for VirtualBox, but for any of the main VM software?
