2015 and beyond, we will see more and more cloud like usage and more and more virtualization implementations.

Ive seen more and more forums dedicate a section exclusivally to virtualization.

Do you think we can get a section for that?

IMO there isn't enough interest or traffic to justify yet another sub-forum.
You don't think there is enough intrest in a virtualization subsection?

Oh you are right, "Home and Garden" gets and would get more intrest and traffic than a virtualization section, my bad.

How about provided a thread count over the past 6-12 months on the subject to justify your request.

I don't know what this is, but yes, provide some support for the request with links/posts and we will discuss.

Thanks.

Honestly, its pathetic there is a "Home And Garden" section before "Virtualization".

I would like to post a thread regarding virtualization. Microsoft Azure, in particular. What would be the best section for that? It's not hardware, it's not software, it's not over clocking, it's not programming, it's not operating systems... Dang, if only we had a virtualization section.

^^None of your links work.

The last 12 months, where they had VMWARE in the title (only one of many ways of it being related to Virtualization).

So probably a few threads a month, which is NOT that many. Maybe one per week on average (all visualization topics).

My guess is that is TOO few, to make it worth creating a new sub-forum, at the moment.

On the other hand, it is probably something which is growing, and people would have LOTS of questions for, like how to do it, and what hardware is required, etc etc.

So I'm glad it is NOT my decision.

EDIT: On reflection:
The topics are all over the place. Off-topic, Apple, Overclocking, software for windows, etc etc.
It would be much more convenient, for virtualization topics to be in ONE place.
Then a quick educational reading of interesting virtualization topics, could more easily be made.

EDIT2; SORRY, I did NOT realize this was a partially necroed thread, from a couple of months ago.

Virtualization and cloud topics (Azure, AWS) crop up on the programming forums, too. The fact that you see these threads spread among all the forums really says something.
