Hey guys, I have been recording episodes of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles episodes lately and have noticed that they are very noisy. Do you have any ideas for filtering options AND their settings for optimum cartoon quality? I could really use the help, seeing as I have never really done noise filtering at all before and am completely at a loss. Thanks in advance, and also, could you PM me your suggestions instead of posting them? It makes it a bit easier for me! Email would be fine too, or any of the IMs listed in my sig.

sounds like you have an analog tuner. i know this isnt an answer to your filter question, but if you used a dtv (digital tuner) card your captures would look perfect.

hook me up with those tmnt episodes! I am not a professional, but have attempted to do what you are doing.. with not so good results. Since this is not a solution, I wont PM you it.

In response to the post right above.. why would a good analog signal result in grainy capture? I mean... regular TV is all analog anyways

I guess I should have written what hardware I'm using. I have an 1800+, kt333 mobo, 1 gig of Kingston PC4000 RAM, 80 gb IBM 120gxp hard drive, Radeon 8500 128mb BB Hercules, and a TV Wonder Pro for cap. I have comcast cable right now as well. I think it might be just the card and/or drivers because I have messed around a lot with different versions of drivers and Multimedia Center for it lately and only noticed the crappy quality a bit after that. It could be my cable connection as well, maybe something came loose or untightened... Comcast is coming to put in my internet on Wednesday so I will tell them to have a look at all the connections outside as I've checked the internal ones. Thanks for the help guys! I will go and look at the doom9 forums. Still looking for options from AT as well though...
