Hey all
Recently I had a sudden interest to try Linux. I'm using VirtualBox on Windows XP to emulate Xubuntu. I have AVG anti-virus, Comodo firewall, spybot, ad-aware, etc (all the free stuff) installed on Windows. So far, I haven't encountered any security problems that I'm aware of. On Xubuntu, I only have AVG installed. Does running virtual Xubuntu make my computer any less secure? Would browsing the net under Xubuntu using Firefox be any safer than under Windows? Do I need some kind of anti-spyware for the VM too? Is there anything else security-related I should be concerned about?
Any feedback is appreciated
