Does anyone know a decent software driver install that emulates a sound card? I have a server using windows 2008. I also use MajicJack which I use for my home phone service. Unfortunately, for magic jack you must have the software running on the PC to use. That is fine but it is part of my problem.
In order to get around this I used to have Windows Server 2003 and what I did was just push the magicjack software as a service. This worked fine because you can RDC into the server and that would create a "virtual" sound card to play sound through so I could run the MajicJack software once (which requires a sound card even if not using sound) and it would be fine as a service as long as it was run once.
With 2008, RDC doesn't create a virtual sound card anymore Soooo to my original question, does anyone know of a virtual sound card software? I've done some searching but nothing so far seems to do what I need.
