whats the best one to buy for beginners?

I know theres pc ones, playstation ones, some kind of seperate occulus ones and I assume nintendo and others>?

I dont really want too much expensive nor too many cables and complexity at the start

I tried a friends pc VR 2 years ago and it was very impressive but seemed complex to set up etc and loads of cables
any advice much appreciated
