Virtual PC 2007 graphical errors

I have problems running Virtual PC 2007 on my system, which is based on Asus P5KC, E4500, 2GB ram, and ATI HD3870. When running my XP installation with XP as host, I get screen redraw errors. Some graphics gets stuck etc. When booting up Vista (which I dont use a lot) and installed over there, the same Virtual PC HDD worked flawlessly. I tried update the drivers in XP to the latest Catalyst 8.3, without any improvements.

Any ideas or anyone else out there experienced the same problem?

Yes, I did that. It helped the pointer to work better, but there are still screen redraw problems for example in the start menu.
