Virtual PC 2007 experts?

I'd like to run DOS 6x in Virtual PC (or VMWare) to run a music sequencer program.
The program has DOS drivers to use a hardware MPU401 midi interface.

Any chance this would work?


[I'm running win95 to do this now, just so I have network access.]
 

That makes sense.

VPC has no MIDI support? Can't seem to find that info.

It does seem to support sound with Soundblaster emulation, but no actually MIDI output.
