hamachi is the one that I recommend I use it constantly it is easy to set up and encrypts the transitions so security isnt as big of a problem. Gaming over Hamachi is generally easy though some games you will have a problem with. Some games don't like multiple NIC cards and Hamachi installs a virtual NIC to run. Also most game I have found out try to get the Hamachi NIC as the default gaming NIC for network play. The only downside to running hamachi is if you are going to use it to transfer large files like .avi it WILL take a LONG time, there is also the problem of the file dropping halfway thought the transfer, one way I have found around the problem is a shell program called total copy it lets you control how fast you copy files and it also has an auto resume if the file breaks it will pause and take off from where it left off.
