Virtual memory or no virtual memory?

I just upped my total to 640 MB, and I'm running ME. There was a thread about virtual memory a while back. People said not to disable it, but other people said they were running better than ever without it. I am running Windows ME (yeah, yeah, I hate it too). Can I run without virtual memory?

i think you should try running without virtual memory, and then running with the ConservativeSwapFileUsage tweak. i suspect that with the amount of ram you have, running without virtual memory would, in fact, be better!
 
with that much ram turning virtual memory off may be of benefit assuming you don't run many memory hungry applications!
