Just swapped back from system managed paging file to none. I have no paging file and everything is wonderfully quicker. OK my ssd's not that fast but with no page file it was night and day in Arma2 flying and panning camera at 24 fps (fraps) was really quick and responsive. If you have 16gb memory isn't his the nest way to improve gaming performance?

No. Turning off the page file is snake oil at best.

I prefer static pagefile instead of a dynamic one.

Static page file and some memory as a HDD cache is my solution, seems to work decently.

It's all fun and games until you hit a thrashing state, and now that I think about it, that would probably be especially "fun" for SSDs.
