Hello,

My problem is ? I can't transfer files between my virtual machine, and the host OS via a network share.

I am running 'Windows Server 2003 Enterprise SP2' on my home server, and using 'VMware Server' to manage a virtual machine, also running 'Windows Server'.

The virtual machine is connected to the network using a bridged connection, and it can access/ping the internet and access/ping other PCs on the network.

I need it [the virtual machine], to be able to transfer files, via a shared folder back to the host OS (for backup purposes).

I can log-in [to the host OS] and sometimes list the files/folders. As soon as I try to move data, 'Windows Explorer' will lock-up and crash. I also tried it using my backup program, and it told me the network share was suddenly unavailable.

Is this some sort of security feature in Windows? Preventing me from overloading the bridged connection?

What's can I do?

Thanks in advance,
